Open Positions
Ski Technician
20hrs/week, with opportunities for more hours from approximately November-February.
Help us keep our customers’ skis in top shape. This may include waxing, repairing, or mounting skis and snowboards, as well as assisting in our rental shop, and in other shop tasks as needed.
This might be perfect for you if —
- Previous experience - We’re seeking a candidate with 1-2 seasons of previous ski tuning experience.
- Speed - You can work at a fast pace.

Attention to detail - Even when working quickly, you pay close attention to the small details, ensuring that skis are tuned accurately and professionally, with a remarkably low error rate.
This is a seasonal position, but with potential opportunities for year round employment if you also have strong bike tuning experience.
Winter Sales Associate
Approximately 20hrs/week
Share the stoke! Help folks get excited for the snowy season, and help them find ski and snowboard equipment that they'll love.
This might be perfect for you if —
- Outdoor Expertise - You're deeply familiar with either skiing or snowboarding, including the equipment needed. You're familiar with the brands, basic technologies, and basic fitting guidelines.
- Enthusiasm - Your enthusiasm for the outdoors is infectious. Customers walk away excited to get out on the slopes.
- High Emotional Intelligence - You're very aware of how customers are feeling, and can pivot and react accordingly. Even though you know your stuff, you never accidentally come off as "better than you" or intimidating. Beginners feel completely comfortable chatting with you.
Resident Expert
Approximately 4-10hrs/week
Already have a day job, but looking for an excuse to come hang out at Pando? Through our Resident Expert program, you can make it happen.
As a resident expert, you'll come in once or twice a week, mingle with customers, help them find the perfect gear, and equip them with the knowledge they need for a successful outdoors experience.
We know you've already got a lot going on, and we're incredibly grateful that you'd consider hanging out with us. Having seasoned outdoor experts in the shop is part of what makes Pando a special place for the community.
This is a paid position. In addition, you'll have access to Pando employee perks, such as higher consignment earnings and employee discounts.
This might be perfect for you if —
- Prior Experience - Resident Expert isn't a title we give out lightly. You'll likely have extensive decade(s)-long outdoors experience. This could come in a variety of ways — maybe you've managed your own guide company, maybe you've worked in outdoor retail or manufacturing for the past 20 years, or maybe you've simply woken up at 4am religiously for the past several years to squeeze in some dawn patrol ski laps before work.
- Enthusiasm - Your enthusiasm for the outdoors is infectious. Customers walk away excited to get outside.
- High Emotional Intelligence - You're very aware of how customers are feeling, and can pivot and react accordingly. Even though you know your stuff, you never accidentally come off as "better than you" or intimidating. Beginners feel completely comfortable chatting with you.
