Open Positions
Community & Events Coordinator
Your job, in one sentence: give people compelling reasons to come to Pando.
In this role, you'll be planning and running a consistent calendar of in-store events — clinics, demo days, swap meets, brand nights, community hangs. You'll also be finding novel ways to get Pando out into the community: maybe showing up at the crag on a Saturday morning with free chalk refills, or running a booth at a partner event.
To raise awareness and ensure our events are a success, you'll also support our content efforts — for example, helping shoot and appear in social media reels, or creating and distributing fliers.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute a consistent calendar of in-store and community events
- Represent Pando at partner events, outdoor venues, and community spaces around Utah Valley
- Help build promotional materials — fliers, social posts, stories — to drive event attendance
- Appear in and help produce social media content to promote events
- Work with our team to track what events resonate and help us refine our strategy over time
- Coordinate with partners, brands, and nonprofits on larger-scale events a few times a year
You'll Thrive Here If You
- Are highly organized and follow through — when you plan something, it runs smoothly
- Have genuine enthusiasm for the outdoors, including regular experience with at least one of our supported activities (climbing, camping, cycling, skiing, snowboarding)
- Are comfortable being the person in the room who makes everyone feel welcome
- Can design a clean, eye-catching flier (Canva counts)
- Are genuinely comfortable being on camera to help promote events
- Have reliable transportation and can occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Can work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and evenings
What to Expect
- ~15–20 hours per week, with some flex based on the events schedule
- In-person at our shop at 249 N University Ave, Provo, except for offsite events
- $16–18/hr depending on experience
- A small, mission-driven team that genuinely cares about what we're building
